bio
Rina Varughese graduated from Rutgers College with a degree in Design and English. She worked as a Designer for Penguin Books USA, Grosset & Dunlap, PSS! and at Marvel Publishing.
After completing her MFA in Film & Television from USC School of Cinematic Arts with a focus on producing and writing. She went on to work at Vuguru LLC, a digital studio created by Michael Eisner and acted as a PA on Sam Raimi’s Spiderman 3.
Her work experience includes Marvel Studios, working under Co-President, Louis D’Esposito from phase one, Captain America, The First Avenger through to phase two, The Avengers: Age of Ultron. She later worked at Lucas Film LTD as a CE on Rogue One and Hans Solo. She landed at Youtube Originals as a Manager in Kids & Family.
She is currently at Sony Pictures Entertainment heading Creative Programming reenvisioning diversity initiatives throughout the studio between TV, Motion Picture, Digital, Crunchyroll and Playstation.
